Minor Storm Damage

A small tornado touched down briefly along Greenbrier Road.According to the NWS report, investigators searched the area around South Memorial Parkway, Green Cove Road and Hobbs Island Road based on spotter reports of a tornado sighting. The NWS found very minor tree damage.

Tuesday's twister was classified an EF-1 with peak winds about 100 mph over a path of about 4.25 miles.

Significant structural damage was seen between Highway 227 and DeKalb County Road 329. In addition to the displaced home, a workshop sustained heavy damage along with an RV, boat and two vehicles.

Topical Storm Richard

That’s right Richard continues to take his baby foot steps in the northwestern Caribbean. Richard was last located about 235 Miles South-Southeast of Grand Cayman. Tropical Storm Richard is forecast to strengthen over the next few days and could become a hurricane over the weekend. Well lets hope not but it isn’t expected to move much today at all, they seem to think it will gain a lot of speed on Saturday and move further up the coast.
